Well it's clear with this exact guitar that we hit the wood lottery. Totally catching us by surprise, this CL arrived with some of the most beautifully figured Mahogany we've ever seen on a Collings electric. Ripples of flame run right through the center of the top with tight chevron-like orientation. This unique figure carries on in the neck as well. Stunning!

Outfitted with a pair of Lollar P90s - a Staple in the neck and traditional in the bridge just like an old LP Custom - the City Limits brings some sweet and chimey goodness to the forefront, without sacrificing power for those rock and blues moments.

We invite ANY of you to fact check us here, but we're going on record as saying that this is the lightest City Limits we've ever had in our inventory. EVER. This total freak of nature CL weighs in at 7lb 8oz...yes, you heard that right. It's not chambered, it's not built from balsa wood. It honestly defies any sort of expectation of Collings as well. Truly incredible, folks!

This isn't a spec you're sure to come across every day, and we love that about this CL! Guitars like this continue to inspire us to explore more builds with that in mind.
