We are happy to host this exceptional 2011 Collings AT-16 for consignment! This guitar was sold through TME when it was new, some 14 years ago; and the original owner's estate has entrusted us with its next sale as well. This is an almost-stock version of a guitar that's anything but normal: the notable exception to the basic AT-16 profile is the inclusion of a factory-installed Jason Lollar "Johnny Smith" pickup. The rich, woody sound consistent among AT-16 variants is perfectly captured by Mr. Lollar's electronics, resulting in a guitar that's as exciting to play through an amplifier as it is sitting in a quiet room. What can we say about an AT-16 that hasn't been said already? It's the modern era's most beautifully-constructed replica of an early 1930's 16" archtop.

This AT-16 remains in very good overall condition. It's been played (this isn't one of the AT-16 that's been sitting in a case its whole life); but its original owner obviously took great care of it as well. There are minor signs of handling on the body, but no significant cosmetic blemishes. The structure is just as sound as the day it was first strung up, showing no cracks or significant effects of dryness. Priced with its original hardshell case -- made by Ameritage. Payment requested by check or bank transfer.
