While NAMM may not have taken its traditional shape this year, our friends at Collings Guitars didn't let that stop them from building some unusual and inspiring guitars. This 14-fret Traditional 00 features a gorgeous, Brazilianesque-looking set of Madagascar Rosewood (which they no longer offer as an option) and an appointment level inspired by old style-21 flattops (herringbone rosette and backstrip, with tortoise binding on rosewood). It's a beautiful, understated look Collings hasn't used in the past; and this aesthetic, combined with the deep, powerful tone of this little guitar, has us thinking of the handful of rare 00-21S ("S" for "Special Order") models made in / around 1937. Effortlessly playable and huge-sounding for its size, this one-of-a-kind Collings would make a great addition to any collection. Priced with TKL hard case.
