Our relationship with luthier, Ed Claxton, dates back nearly 20 years. We've always thought of his guitars in the highest regard, and the players who've bought them consistently rank them as the best they've ever heard.
We jumped at the chance to host this EM (Claxton's OM design) for consignment as soon as we heard the tonewood combination. Brazilian / German has consistently produced incredible results in a Claxton guitar. The voice is warm, warm, WARM, with a beautiful, shimmery note attack and sustain.
Although the tone is very rich, this guitar has a traditional, woody fundamental ~ so while it's a modern instrument, even vintage purists would likely find a lot to love about the quality of tone lurking herein. Priced with hard case (a TKL style, not a Calton like Claxton's more recent instruments).
