Current staff favorite guitar? Easy answer: this 2006 Julius Borges OM-18, with "Golden Grain" Mahogany back & sides. Simply put, this is as good as it gets in a new guitar if you're a devotee of the old-Martin voice and tonality. Beautifully balanced, with sensational volume and punch across every fret, all the while retaining warmth and roundness of tone no matter how you play it or how aggressively you dig in (though truth be told, the pyramid bridge does invite a bit of a lighter attack). This guitar comes to us from a trusted client; and it's been very well maintained. Overall condition is excellent, with no significant dings, scratches or cosmetic blemishes. There's a very faint area of dull finish where one's fingers might rest near the treble edge of the soundhole, but you'd have to angle the guitar in reflected light to see it. The frets and surfaces are clean, and the guitar plays easily up and down the neck. Priced with hardshell case.
