Based on a vintage J-185, this used Borges Hayride is imbued with all the vibe and spirt of that classic small jumbo but with modern adjustments that make it a real powerhouse. This is a guitar that can do so many things exceedingly well. Strum it loud for some classic rock rhythm, play it soft for some Celtic backup, dig in with some funky country blues or hang loose and kick out some lovely chordal jazz melodies. It doesn;t disappoint in any genre. Condition is excellent with very little play wear. There are a few of small, discreet finish cracks near the pickguard area and below the bridge, possibly from the guitar being shipped during a New England cold snap!. Setup is perfect with plenty of saddle showing if one wanted to bring it down to light fingerstyle action.
