Very fine sounding "910" SJ from Italian luthiers Bagnasco & Casati. This guitar is a replica of an instrument from a fabled batch of Southern Jumbos produced with rosewood back and sides. Beautiful, old-growth Indian rosewood body, moon-logged European spruce top, rosewood bridge & fingerboard, full hide glue construction, and extra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. That bears repeating: the finish is super thin, and does show light checking when angled in the correct lighting. The neck is a period correct, C-shaped, chunky profile akin to what you'd find on a "Banner" slope-shouldered dreadnought. The sound is robust and penetrating, with an admirable amount of dryness for a newer rosewood guitar ~ sure to please fans of vintage-voiced guitars interested in a versatile rosewood dreadnought. Priced with its original hard case.
