This Atkin D37 is just into the shop on trade! The D37 with "Pre-War" build specs is Atkin's take on a golden-era herringbone dreadnought -- featuring upgraded tonewoods (a torrefied Adirondack Spruce top, and Madgascar Rosewood back & sides, in place of the standard Sitka Spruce and Indian Rosewood). The sound is warm, complex, and deep, with the booming low end and snappy trebles expected from a dynamite bluegrass guitar.
Condition: we'd rate this guitar as "very good" overall, though it should be noted that the finish has a light factory relic and displays noticeable checking. There's also a small decal on the back of the headstock. Other than that, there are no significant blemishes or playwear; and the frets and fingerboard are clean as well. It's currently setup on the low side, and plays very easily (though an aggressive flatpicker may want the action a bit higher than it sits right now). Priced with its original hard case.
