Using the timeless Fender Telecaster as a leaping off point, Bill Asher's T-Deluxe - in this case roasted - sports an offset body which balances beautifully and adds a more deluxe feel than your average T-style guitar.

So, roasted? Yep. Roasting is the electric guitar equivalent of the torrefaction process used by acoustic guitar builders. The basic idea is to mimic the aging process wood undergoes after many decades by reducing the amount of moisture in the wood (do a Google search for a more thorough explanation). The end result being a very stable, very resonant guitar that shares many characteristics of the great vintage guitars.

Played acoustically, this T-Deluxe has all the liveliness and snap you'd expect from a great ash bodied Tele-style guitar. The soft V carve, satin finished neck feels incredible - gently broken-in, with a nod toward modern playability.

The T Blade bridge pickup delivers Tele twang-meets-P90 snarl and the Blues Bucker neck pickup reminded us a Firebird pickup crossed with a full-size humbucker (it's articulate, gorgeous top end clarity, but retains the output and fatness of a traditional humbucker). Combined with a 6 position ToneStyler circuit (chicken head knob), you have anything from classic Tele twang, LP Junior grind, to very convincing archtop tones available.

Condition: Aside from a small chip in the back of the headstock, this guitar is near mint with only light signs of prior ownership present.

Combined with a very light overall weight, satin finished body and neck, and an anodized pickguard, these specs add up to a killer Tele-style guitar for folks looking to buck tradition. Priced with G&G hardshell case.
