This 2012 Gibson Woody Guthrie Southern Jumbo gets close to the sort of look & tone you'll encounter in their "True Vintage" models.
Modeled on a "Banner" Southern Jumbo built in the style of Woody's own 1943 Gibson, this instrument features Mahogany back & sides, a Sitka Spruce top, traditional X-bracing, and a beautiful aged vintage sunburst finish. It's one of the lighter slope shoulder builds to come out of the Gibson factory, and we've seen this consistently with a few of these models.
It's been played, and shows a few pick marks on the top near the edges of the soundhole, but it's otherwise very clean. The original pickguard delaminated from the top, but a beautiful new firestripe guard made by Paul Fox has been installed in its place and looks great! Aftermarket upgrades include a bone saddle and bone bridge pins.
Priced with its original hard case.
