This is the earliest Bart Reiter banjo we remember having in the shop (serial number 428), yet it remains in remarkably good condition. The "FF Professional" was Bart's top of the line banjo when this one was produced, featuring rim and neck of beautiful curly maple, an 8-F-hole Bacophone style resonator, and Dragon peghead inlay. Even at this early stage in his career (Mr. Reiter only retired within the last two years), the level of craftsmanship on display in this banjo is top-notch.
This banjo remains in excellent condition, with hardly any signs of prior use. Luthier Bob Smakula scooped the end of the fingerboard at the request of a previous owner (we'd call this an improvement, as far as playability is concerned). And the instrument is priced with an arched-top hardshell case. This banjo is on consignment; and shipping is calculated at checkout.
