The latest offering from our batch of Martin D-18 Custom Authentic models is this "Aged" monster ~ essentially, a recreation of Martin's fabled D-18 Authentic 1937, with the addition of VTS top & braces, and adjustable truss rod, and Martin's "Stage 1" Aged finish. These guitars offer fans of the original, now-discontinued D-18A 1937 a glimpse into what the model might look like if it were part of the current catalog. And what a welcome addition it is. Penetratingly loud and full sounding, the Aged finish offers amped-up qualities in the guitar's dryness and woodiness of sound, making this the closest thing we can think of to (you guessed it) an actual 1937 Martin D-18. Priced with Harptone style hard case from the Martin Custom Shop. Serial no. 2497689 pictured.
