Product information

While the look of a relic finish may be a somewhat divisive topic, we like to remind our customers that the thinness of this finish is what's really important.

Martin's new D-18 Authentic 1937 AGED has arrived -- and it's exactly what we'd hoped it would be. Beginning with the already great 1937-style D-18 platform and adding an aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish gets you that extra tick closer to the real thing: this guitar is more open, more responsive, and drier sounding than its previous iteration. And while the look of a relic finish may be a somewhat divisive topic, we like to remind our customers that the thinness of this finish is what's really important. If you're chasing the warmth, woodiness, and power of a forward-X D-18, this guitar is as close as you'll get in a new guitar. Priced with Harptone hard case from C.F. Martin.
