One of Swart's legacy models reimagined in a custom 2x10 combo format

Swart's AST Master MKII amplifier is one of Michael's longest running production models, and for good reason. It hits that sweet spot of output where power and dynamics align for a truly satisfying playing experience that can work in almost any context.

We envisioned a mashup of this great circuit in one of our favorite speaker formats - the venerable 2x10 combo - which typically yields a more three-dimensional sound along with a tighter and low/low mid response. Combined with the deep cab, there's no lack of bass and punch, which these Celestion Creamback 10" speakers seem to handle really well.

The clean tones are sweet and chimey, especially when combined with that unmistakable Swart tube-driven spring reverb. But you might be surprised by the overdriven tones this amp puts out when cranked up. Tweed-like in its touch sensitivity, you can go from edge of breakup to full-on raunch with just a change in pick attack.

The two-tone styling in this cab format look amazing, too! We love the contrast of the blonde and black tolex with this grill cloth - very stage-friendly in its presentation!

This new AST Master variant is a first for us here at TME, but certainly won't be the last. It's quickly become one of our favorite Swarts.
