Product information

Woody warmth in a uniquely beautiful violin-inspired two-point design from lauded luthier Joe Campanella Cleary.

Joe Cleary builds exquisite, sonorous mandolins that draw deeply on violin design and aesthetics. His use of overhung violin edges and deep, earthy colors visually distinguish his instruments, but ultimately the prize is in the tone. Warm, woody, open from the get go, this Dué manages to push lower-mid air without sacrificing clarity. All that in a lightweight, resonant body.

Campanella has always chosen fine tonewood, but the one-piece maple back on this instrument is a showstopper! An engraved James tailpiece, Gold Waverly tuners with ebony buttons, Campanella's signature bell headstock inlay in abalone, and a handmade ebony pickguard complete the top-shelf appointments.

It has been over twenty years since we first started representing Campanella mandolins. We remain ever impressed with this unique, inspiring take on the modern American mandolin.
