With its inherent tonality maintained since 1964, this late CBS era Princeton Reverb sounds as good as ever, and still proves that this amp remains one of the most versatile low wattage combos in the history of electric guitar amplification.


Early 1966 Fender Princeton Reverb just in!

This is a great sounding example that made its way to us via a local customer who'd owned the amp for quite some time before we acquired it. While it still retained its original circuitry and transformers, it was long overdue for basic service.

We enlisted Stan Day to go through it and handle some of the basic tuneup work like a recap and replacement of some tired old tubes. He discovered a factory blooper by way of an incorrect value volume potentiometer, and subsequently replaced it. It's now working and sounding fabulous!

An older non-original CTS ceramic speaker is installed in the amp, and was loaded in the cabinet when it came in. It's missing its preamp tube shields, but functions just fine without them.

A perfect studio and small club amp, the Princeton Reverb has achieved its legendary status as the ultimate compact Fender combo.
