Fender 5F10 Harvard (1958)

This 1958 Fender 5F10 Harvard is a wonderful sounding example of the 10 watt 1x10 combo that has become one of the most in-demand Tweed Fenders out there.

Completed in September of 1958, this Harvard retains most of its originality like its original Tweed covering and recently serviced circuit. The original Triad power transformer remains, with the output transformer having seemingly been replaced long ago. It's a vintage Universal OT 24555 and is providing the right output for the circuit; with the amp behaving as it should, we've elected to leave it be.

The original grill cloth was also replaced at some point with a similar Oxblood style cloth, but the original baffle remains along with the original Jensen P10R.

Recent service included a replaced bias cap, bias diode, and cathode cap along with a 3-prong power cord. Filter caps had been previously replaced by the prior owner, and a few of the original Astron signal caps remain.
