Product information

"Shorn of pretense, simply appointed, our Model M mandolin has been an exceptional choice for players looking to move up to their first high quality instrument. And, while it may be our entry level mandolin, it’s hardly a typical one."

In crafting the Model M, Northfield went minimal on the appointments and focused on maximizing tone. The result? An instrument that is road-tested, professional musician approved, and sonically captivating, while occupying a more affordable price point.

The Model M features figured maple back and sides, a carved Engelmann spruce top, and a Honey Amber matte spirit varnish finish. This particular example also features the optional, wider 1 3/16" nut width - perfect for players coming from guitar or used to the wider spacing of a 'teens oval-hole A. All around, a fantastic sounding instrument that remains an exceptional value in the world of professional caliber mandolins. Priced with Airloom Recurve case.
