Product information

Paul Duff's mandolins really do seem to come out of the distant past, echoes of their F5 forebears in the best way!

We are delighted to have this Paul Duff F5 come through the shop! It is a great sounding instrument, with the look of a seasoned, well traveled player. With a clear, strong voice and a nice, satisfying chop, it makes for an excellent, hard-driving bluegrass mandolin. At the same time, it responds beautifully to a lighter attack as well.

Paul originally built this F5 with a Virzi, which has since been removed. It has been upgraded with Gotoh tuners and an engraved James tailpiece. The fingerboard extension has been scooped, the pickguard removed. Honest play wear to the body, top and back, all of which adds some nice mojo to this wonderful F5!
