Four algorithms cover the core territory: Digital delivers pristine, crystal-clear repeats that sit perfectly in rhythmic playing; Analog adds warmth and dimension without crowding your core tone; Lo-Fi ranges from warm and warped to full AM radio degradation, with an adjustable filter width to dial in exactly how degraded you want things to get; and Slap Back makes classic rockabilly and chicken pickin' echo tones immediately accessible. A dedicated X knob adjusts a key parameter within each algorithm - modulation depth in Digital, Analog, and Slap modes, and filter width in Lo-Fi - keeping the control set intuitive without limiting what's possible.

Beyond the core voices, the ARP-87 rewards deeper exploration. Trails mode lets delay repeats die off naturally when the pedal is bypassed; no-trails mode cuts them immediately, your call. The momentary functions are where things get genuinely creative: hold the bypass switch while the effect is off to temporarily engage the delay for a moment of texture, or hold it while the effect is on to ramp the X parameter to maximum and back. Hold the tap switch to push feedback to the edge and release to return. Smart bypass switching and a max delay time of 1000ms round out a feature set that punches well above its footprint.
