Product information

1960 Guild T100D in original Sunburst finish just into the shop on trade!

This period of Guild produced some mighty fine guitars. Their stiff competition (Epiphone, Gibson) surely played a role in the quality of their products, and they've become some of the best values in vintage Golden Era guitars.

A turn-of-the-decade example, this T100D shows the earlier style "ghost" label in the bass side f-hole along with many of the late 50s and early 60s build features such as the open book headstock, Waverly tuners, and Franz single coil pickups.

The lightweight hollowbody construction is akin to the thinline Gibson ES-125T models of the same year, although admittedly more sophisticated in its presentation. It has a nice woody acoustic voice that is clear and lively, which pairs quite well with the amazing Curtis Novak Franz reissue single coils in the guitar.

The guitar was previously owned by a professional musician who marked this as a go-to performing instrument, and it certainly plays as such! It's very nicely dialed in, even with the smaller vintage fretwire.

Paired with a later Guild hardshell case.
