This is a must play for anyone considering an 800 or above Taylor model as it delivers an elevated take on one of Taylor's most popular designs in a cool custom configuration.
This Taylor custom feels like an elegant spin Taylor's evergreen 814ce model. The guitar is beautifully framed by abalone and a Koa Bevel and Binding. The Indian Rosewood back and sides nicely contrast with the Koa wedge, and the Lutz Spruce top and appointments are thoughtful and well chosen.
It feels nicely responsive with a light/medium attack, and delivers some real strumming power when played a bit more aggressively. You can feel the effect of the V-Class bracing in the extra resonance of the notes higher up on the fretboard. The tone woods and comfortable but powerful Grand Auditorium size makes for a well rounded and versatile playing experience.
This is a must play for anyone considering an 800 series or above Taylor model, as it delivers an elevated take on one of Taylor's most popular designs in a cool custom configuration.
