This 11" Cherry Appalachian has a rolled brass tone ring that gives the banjo a bit more volume and punch than their Woodchuck or Possum models. The 11" rim also gives this Appalachian perhaps a bit more focus and clarity than the similar, but slightly darker and mellower, 12" Appalachian model.
