TME is happy to host one of this year's limited edition Iris guitars featuring hand-painted artwork by Sarah Ryan. We've admired Ryan's artwork for years, having sold the beautiful Creston Guitars adorned with her now-signature modern folk art motifs. It's wonderful to see her work on a flattop, resulting in the closest thing the modern era has to the ultra-cool painted guitars of the early 1930's.
And it's even cooler that this artwork decorates our first Iris MS-00 ~ the new signature model inspired by our friend Mark Stutman's appreciation for the classic L-00 body shape. This super lightweight 14-fret 00 features body dimensions inspired by the legendary aforementioned blues box. It's a beautifully lively little guitar, with incredible headroom and projection for its size. The voice is woody and bright all at once; and the guitar responds effortlessly to the lightest touch. This is a fantastic sounding, and super-collectible instrument that we're proud to say is made right here in New England!
Please note: due to the limited availability of Iris instruments featuring Sarah Ryan's artwork, as well as the delicately textured nature of the hand-painted finish, this instrument is not subject to an approval period. Interested buyers may contact us with any questions.
