Description
Just in- our very first Flamingo Hawk from High Spirit Guitars!
The Flamingo Hawk shares its lineage from the short-scale Hagstrom I, among other European and Japanese import guitars from the 50s and 60s, but with an elevated build quality and materials that parallel some of our favorite Fender bolt-neck electrics.
Can we just take a minute to appreciate the aesthetic?! Holy moly! Mary Kaye Blonde serves as the perfect backdrop for the truly stunning custom arcylic pickguard and matching control plate. Color, dimension, depth... it's got it all in the looks department. Thankfully this guitar has the tone to match.
This Flamingo Hawk also features a first for us - a Chunky C neck carve - and we can say without question that this carve will be in steady rotation for future builds! Beautifully rounded and full with an even taper, the Chunky C is more substantial in hand, but offers up the fast playability of the Slim C carve we've become most familiar with.
Pickups are Connor's own "Danger Dog" wind that aim for a brighter, twangier Fullerton sound all while maintaining some healthy output. Clean tones are airy with the right touch of natural compression, while overdriven tones showcase a bit of the midrange pop these pickups are capable of putting out. These pickups also sound amazing with a great fuzz!
If you want the familiarity of a strat-like silhouette with something distinctively unique at the same time, look no further. We continue to be amazed at how much guitar is packed into these instruments, and they just get better and better as time goes on.
Priced with gig bag.
