The aged finish 3-Tone Sunburst NOS Retro is giving off some serious SRV vibes, no?
If you’ve been shopping for a Strat-style guitar, you’ve probably seen a sea of options and by now they’re all starting to blur together. You're likely thinking...
...what makes this Grosh NOS Retro stand out? Why give it a second look, let alone my money? We’re glad you asked.
This Timeworn (Grosh's new artfully aged finish) 3-Tone Sunburst NOS Retro brings all the vibe of an early ’60s Strat but with a smoother, more refined playing experience. A medium/large neck carve, 10" radius, and 6150 frets make it feel effortlessly modern without losing its vintage-inspired roots. Don has a rare gift for bridging the gap between vintage feel and modern performance. His guitars blend the best of both worlds, which is exactly why they’ve remained a longtime favorite here at the shop.
Tonally, it’s loud, snappy, and full of sustain, very much what we expect from Grosh. The clever blend control (2nd tone knob) and Tele-style bridge base plate take the bridge pickup to a new level, delivering fat, punchy tones without sacrificing that classic Strat chime and cluck in the other positions.
Playability? Top-tier. The fretwork is flawless, the setup dialed, and the guitar feels alive in your hands.
