Description
TME regulars will no doubt notice the increased Fender presence at the shop these days. We're thrilled to be working with Fender, from their brilliant Custom Shop guitars to more "standard" production amps and guitars. You may have seen their new Acoustasonic guitars via video demos, magazine reviews, ads, etc...well, we're here to tell you, these are incredibly cool guitars and quite possibly the best iteration of the "hybrid" acoustic/electric concept we've played yet.
The Acoustasonic comes in both Strat and Tele flavors, this tasteful Natural finish guitar obviously being the Telecaster version. First impressions? The combo of the already familiar Tele shape, with its ease of play and light weight, coupled with very well executed electronics - courtesy of a Fishman/Fender collaboration - yields a super fun, killer sounding guitar that's perfect for folks needing a versatile, comfortable acoustic/electric (Jack White is rocking one on a recent Austin City Limits performance with the Raconteurs...that speaks volumes, does it not?).
Instead of going into specifics about the different tones available, please be sure to watch the attached video for a full rundown of tones available. Suffice it to say, there's an awful lot of cool stuff going on that's easy to navigate and ultimately sounds fantastic - it'll surprise you how good this guitar sounds. We're sold, what can we say? Priced with gig bag.
