Product information

A sonic powerhouse in this pairing of resophonic royalty, the Beard Jerry Douglas signature has long occupied a special place in the Dobro world. Yes, it has THAT sound, in spades.

When Paul Beard, one of the most respected names in resonator building, collaborates with Jerry Douglas, the result is exactly what you'd hope for. The Jerry Douglas Redbeard is built on Beard's acclaimed "E" body design, a platform known for its power and projection. What makes it remarkable is what it retains alongside that projection: the uncanny warmth and soulful midrange that have defined Douglas's sound for decades.

This is an instrument with a clear voice and a serious pedigree. Powerful enough to cut through any ensemble, warm enough to carry melody with real depth and feeling. For players drawn to resonator tone at its most expressive, the Redbeard is a natural place to start - and a difficult one to put down.
