Product information

With its inherent tonality maintained since 1964, this early 1965 Princeton Reverb sounds as good as ever, and still proves that this amp remains one of the most versatile low wattage combos in the history of electric guitar amplification.

The legendary Fender Princeton Reverb has proven time and time again just how unbeatable these versatile little tone machines are in their class. From the studio to the stage, there are few amps that deliver the sweetness and sparkle of a PR.

This PR is a early-year build from March 1965 based on the 'OC' stamp on the tube chart. With the exception of its power transformer (a suitable replacement from a Silverface Era Princeton), the remaining transformers are original. It's just been serviced by Stan Day, which included replacement of the can cap, a weak 12AX7, and installation of a 5U4 rectifier tube to align with the later power transformer.

The grill cloth has been replaced, but the cabinet and tolex are original. It's loaded with its original Oxford 10J4 speaker, dating from the 7th week of 1965.

**Please Note: All vintage amplifiers - regardless of service history - contain electronic components that will eventually require replacement or repair. This is often unpredictable and should be expected as a vintage amplifier owner. We are not responsible for additional service upon receipt. We also do not guarantee tube life.**
