The next evolution in Nik Huber’s beloved Krautster series.
The original Huber Krautster made waves with its minimalist approach - a single bridge humbucker, one volume knob, and a whole lot of attitude. It quickly earned a reputation as a stripped-down / dream rock guitar, delivering pure tone with no frills.
As player demand grew, so did the platform. Enter the Krautster II, answering the call for more versatility with a two-pickup configuration, offering all the raw energy of the original, now with a broader tonal palette.
Now, we welcome the next evolution: the Krautster III.
This latest iteration stays true to the DNA that made the first two models standouts:
* Flawless German craftsmanship
* Satin-finished flamed maple neck
* Open-pore body finish for resonance and feel
* Huber wraptail bridge for extended sustain
* Haussel pickups with coil tap for serious flexibility
* A substantial yet comfortable neck carve that feels instantly familiar
But here’s where the III steps into its own: the introduction of Huber’s Dolphin body shape. Gone is the traditional LP-style silhouette and in its place, a sleeker, more ergonomic form that’s unmistakably Huber.
Truth be told? We’ve had both in hand, and the Dolphin body just feels right. It balances beautifully and elevates the Krautster series into a new realm of individuality.
If you’re after boutique-level tone, premium feel, and an instrument that stands apart while still honoring tradition, the Krautster III might just be your new favorite.
