Years ago, we first encountered Don's Electrajet Baritone at his NAMM show booth. Even amid the overwhelming noise of the show, it stood out as something special. Though short on time, we immediately recognized that it played better than any other baritone we had tried, and that lasting impression stayed with us.
The first thing that struck us was how lightweight and perfectly balanced this baritone is - 7lbs 2oz for those keeping score at home. Most baritones require a bit of extra reach for lower frets, but not this one—it feels and plays just like a standard electric guitar, albeit with wider fret spacing due to the expanded scale length. But why is this one so much easier to play?
Ahh...18 frets! By relocating the bridge and using an 18 fret neck, Don has created a 28 1/2" scale baritone that is unbelievably easy to play. If you're into baritones as much as we are, we're confident this thing is going to blow you away too.
Loaded with a pair of TV Jones Magnatron pickups, all the low end growl you could ever want is paired with a sweet top end and beautiful upper midrange chime. We were left wanting for nothing, honestly.
