Don Grosh and his small team in Colorado have long been at the top of our list when it comes to modern T-style guitars and this Mary Kaye Blonde NOS VT is a perfect example of why. It blends vintage character with an effortless, player-friendly feel that sets it apart from more traditional builds.

This version features Grosh’s new TimeWorn finish, a gently aged treatment that adds just the right amount of broken-in vibe to the experience. It’s not just cosmetic, it genuinely enhances the feel of the guitar. From the moment you pick it up, it plays like an old favorite. The neck feels smooth and fast, with a naturally worn-in comfort that makes it hard to put down.

Unlike some Teles that make you work a little harder due to their stiffer feel, this NOS VT plays more like a well-dialed Strat - slinky, responsive, and inviting. The fretwork is outstanding, as we’ve come to expect from Grosh, and the Grosh-wound pickups deliver all the snap and bite you’d want from a T-style, but with a refined top end that smooths out any harshness. It’s twangy, yes - but never ice-picky.
