While we're not normally known for austerity in our Martin Custom Shop guitars, we opted to go with a stripped down concept when building this Sinker Mahogany 0000 -- keeping the focus on the great sound and gorgeous materials. This minimally adorned powerhouse features a Sitka top, scalloped braces and the oft over-looked 0000 body shape -- think of it as a strummer's OM. Sinker Mahogany is very dense stuff, and when coupled with a Sitka top makes for a guitar that's articulate and warm all at once. It's direct, woody sound carries the traditional Martin sparkle and low-end growl, making it a great choice for players that favor a strumming attack but can't quite get comfortable with a dreadnought body. Priced with hard case from Martin!
