While we've had a few Koll Guitars with triple Charlie Christian pickups, this beauty is a Duo Glide model while the others we've had have been a Super Glide Almighty. Why does this matter? These guitars just feel different in hand, therefor having an impact on how you, the player, perceive and intact with the guitar. 

The SGA w/triple CC pickups feels more upscale with a touch of an archtop feel to it (the neck angle has a steeper pitch, no doubt contributing a bit to this feel). The Duo Glide here feels a bit more stripped down (though no less beautiful or intricate). The neck angle is flatter, which pushes the feel into a decidedly more rock, pop, bluesy place - and what a super cool place it is. This guitar is undoubtedly gorgeous - Saul doesn't send us guitars with Oregon Big Leaf Maple tops like this everyday - and that beauty collides with the rock n roll soul this guitar possesses in the coolest way.

Plugged in, the triple Vintage Vibe made Charlie Christian pickups deliver a really wide array of tones when paired with a well-executed, thoughtful dual 3-way switch setup. One functions as a normal 3-way, the other (lower switch) blends in the middle pickup to the top 3-way - meaning, you can pull Strat-like 2 and 4 positions from this guitar in addition to the standard bridge, bridge and neck, and neck tones - or - all 3 pickups can be on, or just the middle. Whew. There's a breadth of tones that are super fun and inspiring available to you, the player who knows a cool guitar when they see one. 

The neck carve feels fast and easy to play in both lead and rhythm roles, and ultimately familiar - it reminds us a moderately chunky ES-335. It's really comfy and will appeal to a wide range of players. The setup feels great and the Bigsby works perfectly.
