We're big fans of Goodall Guitars here at TME. You know this. And gorgeous, lush, and awash in overtones as their voices may be, we often wonder, "Is there a tonewood combination that will give us those overtones but suit a strummer better?" So we dreamt up this CJ in Quilted Mahogany and Italian Spruce. And while it may not be everyone's favorite guitar ever ... this week it's ours. What a sound! Sweet and round, with just enough complexity to remind you it's a modern instrument (i.e. not a copy of something that's come before it, tonally speaking). Great articulation and sparkle when played with a flatpick, and lush sustain for vocal accompaniment when played fingerstyle. Even amongst an already great fleet of Goodall Guitars, this one is a knockout. With Ameritage hard case.
