Description
Fender's recent run of signature guitars have really impressed us with their excellent build quality, playability, and tones - these guitars have some serious mojo that you usually only find in Fender's more expensive offerings (read: Custom Shop). This Jason Isbell Tele continues the wow-factor by packing vintage-inspired looks, tones, and playability into a more affordable package that any Tele fan will love.
Most know the Grammy Award-winning Isbell for his timeless songwriting and killer guitar playing, so you know a signature model Tele sporting his name is going to have to bring it - and we're here to tell you, we were not disappointed. What's cool about this guitar is that Jason's involvement is obvious the second you sit down with it - you can just feel it. Great players know what a great guitar should feel like and how it should respond, right?
Featuring a '59-style double bound Tele Custom body (alder), vibey Road Worn aged / Chocolate Sunburst nitro finish, mid-60s C neck carve, custom Jason Isbell Tele pickups, and a modified bridge w/compensated brass saddles, the Isbell Tele feels quite a bit like a real-deal vintage Tele in hand (truth be told, it reminds us quite a bit of a Bill Nash Tele - similar look, feel, and easy of play. A great thing in our book, btw.).
Plugged in, the tones were classic Tele twang and chime. These are awesome sounding pickups that cover vintage Tele tones with ease, end of story!
If you're searching for a fantastic Tele at an equally fantastic price, our advice would be to bump this Jason Isbell Tele to the top of your list - we think you'll be equally impressed! Priced with Fender gig bag.
