Our latest Phoenix III conjures late '50s Gibson vibes via a beautiful black limba body and neck, gold hardware, and black pickguard. There are gorgeous details throughout - brass fingerboard binding, dots and logo, neck through construction, etc...just beautiful work. The brass neck binding is really incredible in person - very unique.
The Phoenix model was designed to be a Firebird dressed up in more comfortable Telecaster clothing. From the incredibly comfy '59 Soft V neck carve (.87-.98), fast neck-through heel construction, Lollar pickups (Special T and Firebird) with a versatile wiring scheme (volume, tone - push/pull for activating all 3 pickups, 5-way switch), to the rock solid hardware and beautiful finish work, it's clear that this is a guitar designed by great player. (Gene Baker is a hell of a player in addition to builder.)
The Phoenix has got its own familiar feel and truly melds all the best parts of a Firebird & Tele into something new, very inspiring, and just plain cool.
In the market for a high-performance, modern leaning guitar but still want a vintage vibe, feel, tone, and attitude? This is it, friends. A stunning guitar from one of the best builders in the industry. Priced with hardshell case.
