Looking back at the b3 guitars we’ve had the privilege to showcase over the past couple of years, it’s astounding how many unique iterations of his guitars we’ve encountered. Each one is a testament to impeccable craftsmanship, tone-rich design, and a signature cool-factor that’s unmistakably b3 / Gene Baker.

The Earth Model, part of a limited run, reflects Gene’s brilliant reinterpretation of the classic stripped-down Les Paul Junior/Special aesthetic. These minimalist guitars—originally designed as “student models”—strip away unnecessary frills to focus solely on what matters most: tone.

And oh, does the Earth Model deliver! Its old-school / late 50s-esq tones and straightforward design make it a bona fide no frills tone machine. Coupled with Strat-like playability and ergonomics, you really have the best of Fender and Gibson worlds accessible in one guitar - along with the feel and quality of a hand-made guitar. Yes please.
