Product information

Here's an excellent opportunity to own a Fairbanks guitar at a fraction of its new replacement value! This pre-owned F-20 12-fret features a gorgeous Cremona sunburst and L-2-style gold sparkle purfling. It was built in Connecticut, before Fairbanks's move to Vermont and partnership with Circle Strings; and it's as well-made and great-sounding as luthier-grade guitars get. Lightweight, wide-open, woody, and responsive, it's a perfect guitar for anyone interested in ragtime, fingerstyle blues, and, well, any offshoot of traditional American music.

The guitar remains in very good overall condition. It's been gigged, so expect to see a couple small dings and errant pick marks on the sound board. There's a small crack near the treble side of the fingerboard tongue -- a byproduct of the optional screwed-in pickguard's installation. The crack was repaired years ago by Dale Fairbanks, and remains stable at this time. Our shop has freshened the setup and given it a clean bill of health. Priced with its original TKL hard case.
