Martin D-28 (1955)

Condition: as mentioned, this is a player's guitar which is likely not worth consideration if one desires cosmetic perfection. The bridge and bridgeplate have been replaced (the bridge is a modern ebony replica, and the bridgeplate is rosewood ~ likely installed long ago). One area of significant play wear on the top, near the treble foot of the bridge, has been finished over by hand. The treble side shows an area of worn, dulled finish accompanied by several large scrapes. The back also shows one small area where finish is worn down to the base coat. A fret file has been performed in our shop, and action measures a hair over 3/32" (bass side) and 2/32" (treble side). The current saddle measures 2/32" at its tallest point; and while the action cannot be lowered significantly at this time, the setup does not necessitate a neck reset.
