The Voltur from Nashville-based Novo Guitars is a perfect example of Dennis Fano’s signature genre-bending brilliance. Dennis has a knack for taking time-honored design cues and reshaping them into something entirely new - guitars that feels instantly comfortable and familiar, yet deliver a fresh and distinctive playing experience.
Spend a moment with the Voltur and you’ll spot the references: hints of Firebird swagger, Strat-style body contours, a Rickenbacker-inspired German carve, and a Tele-style bridge paired with bolt-on construction. It’s a melting pot of classics, but the result is something uniquely Novo.
Lightweight, ultra-resonant, and impeccably crafted, the Voltur feels like an old favorite the second you pick it up. As always with Novo, the neck is a standout - it’s got the effortless feel of a broken-in early '60s Fender, making it one of those instruments you simply don’t want to put down.
Tonally, the Voltur walks a beautiful line between Fender snap and Gibson punch. A roasted pine body and roasted maple neck (with a rosewood fingerboard) lend plenty of clarity and liveliness, while the 24.75" scale length and humbucker/staple P90 pairing add warmth, midrange authority, and just the right amount of sizzle. It's articulate, dynamic, and seriously addictive.
