Collings' brilliant, modern take on the teardrop, oval hole A mandolin. Bright, full, with substantial low mids and great sustain—a perfect cross between an MT2 and a 'teens A model.

With a full, round voice, springy response and plenty of sustain, the Collings MT2-O offers modern playability and tonal complexity, while retaining what we love about old 'teens oval hole mandolins. If you have followed our site with any regularity, you will recognize that tone wood pairing of Italian spruce with Birdseye maple. We love what the Collings mandolin team does with this wood combination. It always has great power balanced with character and personality. Visually, it works equally well in honey amber and in this, Collings' classic sunburst finish.
