The combination of the Weissenborn hollow-neck design with a deeper body, akin to that of a Kona, makes for a massive sounding, viscerally moving acoustic lap steel experience.

The lap steel aficionados on staff are all stoked to see this new Burgin Weissenborn come through the shop! It has been a few years since we were last treated to one of these deep-bodied beauties, and this one is just as warm, punchy, and resonant as we remember.

Mahogany works quite nicely as a tone wood here, offering a strong, thick fundamental note that plays equally well with single-note runs as well chords. Dubbed a Style 2 with the upgrade of rope binding, the aesthetic is clean, the appointments very well executed.

The late, incomparable David Lindley owned two of Paddy Burgin's Weissenborns. Need we say more?
