It was the spring of 1994, almost 30 years ago, when we moved from Cambridge. MA to our current Lexington, MA location and turned what used to be a local pharmacy into one of the premier guitar shops in the country.

In that spirit of Springtime, we've decided to pursue a little freshening up. For anyone who’s been through a home renovation, you’ll understand that there is no such thing as “a little.” So bear with us while we undergo some major renovations, all in an effort to bring you, our customers, a more inviting in-store experience while accommodating our growing staff of guitar junkies.

• The TME showroom will be closed through approximately June 15th.
• Online, it'll be business as usual. We are shipping online orders daily and can accommodate local curbside pickups as well.
• If you are local and interested in making a purchase, please text or email us to inquire about the possibility of scheduling an appointment for our lower-level demo room (781-860-0049 or sales@themusicemporium.com)
• Starting Tuesday, April 18th, our repair shop will be closed until further notice. (Work on instruments currently checked in for service will be completed as promised.)
• The TME staff are available via email, text, and phone to answer any questions about an instrument you're interested in.
• National and International orders will continue to be shipped per usual

We would be remiss if we didn't include a brief, but heartfelt, moment of thanks here. You, our customers, are the ones who've made this dream a reality. As TME General Manager, Adam, says in our little shop documentary ... "at the risk of sounding immodest, we want to make this the best store in the world." And while we'll miss the daily interactions on the showroom floor during the month of May, we're confident you're going to love the reinvigorated TME as much as we expect to love it. Our house is your house, as the saying goes. And that's what sets the TME community apart from the rest of the music retail business.
