Taylor raises the bar again with their Grand Pacific Gold Label model.
The newest addition to Taylor's Gold Label series offers what may be its most compelling take on a Dreadnought yet. Taking inspiration from traditional acoustic guitar sounds, the Grand Pacific Gold Label has a big low end presence that has turned everyone's head here at TME. The individual notes blend slightly more than we've heard on previous Taylors, and chords have an earthy depth and a satisfyingly chunky sound.
At the same time, notes higher on the neck are resonant and well articulated. It all makes for a surprisingly versatile Dreadnought style guitar that responds better than most when played with a lighter attack, while still excelling at more aggressive rhythmic playing.
This specific model is built with Torrefied Sitka Spruce and Indian Rosewood. A LR Baggs Element VTC pickup comes standard and ensures you'll be well equipped in any live situation, or simply playing amplified with friends at home.
Taylor continues to raise the bar and challenge the notions of what a Taylor guitar can be. Anyone looking for a Dreadnought size guitar in this price range should definitely check one out.
