Taylor's popular Gold Label Series expands with a Torrefied Sitka & Indian Rosewood 714E!
We're excited to welcome the 714E to Taylor's Gold Label Series! While still recognizably a Taylor, the lower register of this guitar is decidedly more open, resonant, and powerful than one might expect. Andy Powers designed the Gold Label guitars to sound and respond more like a vintage guitar and it's not a subtle thing.
There are a number of interesting design elements at work to achieve this new sound. First and foremost, the Gold Label welcomes a new size, the Super Auditorium, to the Taylor family. Just a touch larger than the extremely popular Grand Auditorium, it's a very comfortable guitar to sit with. It's very open and resonant when fingerpicked or played lightly, and dynamic and punchier when played aggressively.
The torrefied Sitka top and Indian Rosewood back and sides contribute to a deep bass response with nice harmonic detail. Fanned V-Class bracing, as well as a unique long tenon neck joint, improve resonance and energy transfer through the body and neck.
Whether you're a long time Taylor player, or someone who has typically gravitated towards more traditional sounding guitars, this is an instrument that truly has something for everyone and is well worth a look.
