This early "Custom Expert" Martin dreadnought has just come in for consignment! While these models have officially been incorporated into Martin's product lineup under the "Martin Custom Shop 1937" awning, this instrument dates to the introduction of the Custom Expert program -- when said dealers could mix and match Authentic features and certain tonewoods at an attractive price point. This guitar is, essentially, a D-18 Authentic 1937 AGED, built with Sinker Mahogany back & sides. It sports a VTS Adirondack Spruce top, full thickness Authentic 1937 neck profile, and non-adjustable T-Bar neck reinforcement. The sound is exceptional, exhibiting huge power in the low end, alongside dryness, power and projection that rivals a vintage guitar.
The guitar remains in excellent overall condition; and it comes to us from the collection of a longtime & trusted client. It's clearly been well-kept since its initial purchase, and bears no significant wear or blemishes aside from those associated with the factory-original Stage 1 Aged Finish. Priced with its original Haprtone 5-ply hard case. On consignment; shipping calculated at checkout.
