It's safe to say that Laurent Brondel needs no further TME introduction, but that doesn't mean it's going to prevent us from championing each new guitar that comes our way. This newest Honeycaster DC continues to prove just how great his builds are.
Combining elements of both 50s and 60s Stratocaster specs, this Desert Sand finished DC is an amazing player that is frankly bursting at the seams with tone. The Ron Ellis '64 pickups have a punchy, authoritative voice with loads of harmonic presence, and there's just something extra happening with that gorgeous Maple cap neck we simply can't get enough of.
The guitar is quite light, registering in at just over 7lbs on our scale. It's noticeably resonant unplugged, and the neck carve is just a total dream fit for most of us here at the shop. It'd be hard to argue the comfort, feel, and playability of this neck, and it'll likely be a reference point for future TME builds. It's that good.
Laurent pairs this Honeycaster with a beautiful custom G&G hardshell case that bears his elegant logo stitched on the inside. It's a testament to the consistency in quality and class that made us forever fans of his work.
