Product information

A single-pickup Mustang at heart, this '66 Musicmaster II plays more like its bigger brothers, with its standard nut with and 24" scale length.

1966 Fender Musicmaster II in original Olympic White finish just into the shop!

These are super fun guitars to play, and the lower output Musicmaster pickup has its own identity compared to Strat and Tele pickups. Bright and sizzly with a leaner midrange sound, it's a great rhythm guitar that also excels at carving out a natural spot in a mix with other guitars.

This one's got its original Olympic White finish that has some beautiful lacquer checking throughout, and nice vibrant red tortoiseshell pickguard that is crack free. The original pickup was sent out to Tom Brantley for a proper rewind and sounds great! We also added a reproduction pickup cover as the original one was not with the guitar.

The mid-year neck sports a 'B' width, making it the typical 1 5/8" you're apt to find in many Strats and Teles of the era. The neck profile is absolutely wonderful, with its medium C carve and moderate taper.

The guitar ships in an aftermarket Fender hardshell case.
