TME is happy to host one of the first Taylor Trey Hensley Gold Label 510e Special Edition guitars -- the company's first collaborative Gold Label instrument.

Hensley has garnered acclaim as a songwriter and sideman, but it's his roots as a bluegrass flatpicker that inspired the 510e. Constructed with a deep-bodied, square-shouldered frame and custom long-tenon neck joint, this is a guitar built for power and responsiveness. Its Mahogany back and sides and torrified Sitka Spruce top yield woody clarity and the percussive snap needed to withstand a heavy flatpicked attack like Hensley's.

A Taylor may not be the first guitar that jumps to mind in traditional bluegrass circles, but we think this 510 may convert a few holdouts. With its handsome antiqued blonde top finish, bone bridge pins, and British Cocoa hardshell case, this instrument looks the part as soon as the case latches are opened (and comparing its sound to other guitars in this price point will make a believer out of anyone).
